Character Overview

In the shifting echoes of war-torn realities, a wanderer known only as The Unknown walks between worlds. He is an exile, a Trimerion warrior from the mystical world of Eldrowe, lost in a universe beyond his own. Once entrusted with maintaining balance, he was banished into Astralis, an alien world where the Formless Darkness consumes light. Stripped of his homeland and purpose, he now journeys through a fractured universe, carrying the remnants of a past long feared.

The Origins of The Unknown – Trimerion of Eldrowe

In Eldrowe, The Unknown was a protector, one of the rare Trimerions chosen by the High Eldans to wield multiple elemental rings. These rings, sacred fragments of the One Deity, granted him control over three elemental forces:

  • Eldrowe’s Blaze – A lion manifestation of fire, embodying destruction and renewal.
  • Eldrowe’s Tsunami – A goat-born water spirit, granting adaptability and resilience.
  • Eldrowe’s Quake – A python-shaped embodiment of earth, bestowing stealth and precision.

Trimerions maintained balance across Eldrowe. However, balance breeds resentment. Not all accepted their rule. Betrayed by an unknown adversary, The Unknown was cast into Astralis, a realm beyond Eldrowe’s existence.

A Stranger from Another World – Arrival in Astralis

Astralis was not just another world—it was an aberration, a void where time fractured and reality twisted upon itself. Here, The Unknown’s rings fused into his being, altering his once-limitless power into a volatile force. Although he retained his abilities, they became constrained. Consequently, he relied more on close combat, stealth, and strategy to survive.

During his exile, he encountered beings unlike any in Eldrowe: the Sad Star Soldiers, warriors wrapped in blood-red scarves; the Cancellers, those seeking to erase corruption; and the enigmatic Hell Angels, entities that blurred the line between salvation and destruction. To them, he was an outsider, untouched, a being unaffected by the Formless Darkness devouring their world.

He became an anomaly in their war, caught in the tides of a conflict not his own. Some saw him as a myth, an echo of a long-forgotten past. Others perceived him as a threat—an unpredictable force disrupting an already unstable reality. Meanwhile, some sought to use him, believing his foreign powers could be harnessed.

The Unknown’s Journey – Searching for Purpose

Despite his exile, The Unknown refused to fade into obscurity. As he wandered Astralis, he discovered the ruins of Midnyt, a battlefield long forgotten, where whispers of the past clawed at the minds of the living. There, he met the Librarian, a keeper of lost knowledge who revealed cryptic insights into his exile and the unseen forces preventing his return to Eldrowe.

Through the records of Astralis, he unearthed legends that spoke of Eldrowe’s past and warriors who had crossed dimensions before him. He was not the first, nor would he be the last. Yet, he remained alone. In this solitude, The Unknown began to redefine himself, no longer a Trimerion bound to Eldrowe, nor a captive of Astralis, but something beyond the two.

Would he return home? Or would he carve a new existence in the shadows of a world that feared him?

Character Design and Concept

The Unknown

A Trimerion Warrior from Eldrowe, Lost in Astralis

Visual Aesthetic

The Unknown’s character design embodies his dual existence as both a warrior of Eldrowe and a wanderer of Astralis. His attire blends mystical armor from his homeland with scavenged battle-worn pieces of Astralis’ factions, symbolizing his unwilling allegiance to any one world. Key elements include:

  • Layered armor and travel-worn robes, reflecting his endless journey.
  • The fused rings on his fingers, permanently binding him to his elemental gifts.
  • A battle-damaged half-cloak, once regal, now tattered by war.
  • A fluctuating glow in his right eye, shifting colors depending on the power he wields.
  • Distinct elemental influences woven into his design:
    • Blaze – Represented by his shoulder guard/armor, symbolizing the lion’s strength and fiery nature.
    • Tsunami – Manifested through his horned gauntlet, embodying the fluid adaptability of water.
    • Quake – Reflected in the scale patterns in his armor, representing the python’s resilience and stealth.

Symbolism in Design

Each aspect of The Unknown’s visual identity speaks to his past, present, and uncertain future:

  • The lion, goat, and snake motifs represent power, endurance, and cunning—qualities that define him as a Trimerion.
  • The fractured markings on his skin symbolize his exile and the warping effects of Astralis on his body.
  • His silence and watchful demeanor reflect his displacement, a wanderer with no true home.

The Unknown’s Legacy – A Myth in the Making

Eldrowe remembers him as a warrior lost to the void, a name whispered in legends, waiting for the day he might return.

Astralis sees him as a paradox, a being untouched by the corruption tainting their world, an entity that defies the very nature of their reality.

But to himself, he remains a question waiting to be answered.
