Supporting Learning Through Visual Design
The Study Tips for Slow Learners flyer was created to make educational research more accessible and impactful. The content was compiled by SBSB and I helped turn that into a visual learning tool. We wanted to design something educators could easily print, share, and use in real classrooms.
Slow learners often face misconceptions. Although they may need more time or support, many possess unique strengths. Because of that, we aimed to highlight ways to support them—not with labels, but with compassion and practical strategies. The flyer offers this guidance in a structured, visual format that’s both engaging and informative.

Design Approach
Using Adobe Photoshop, I designed a modular layout that prioritized clarity and emotional accessibility. Since the flyer would be used in classrooms, I made sure every element supported readability and quick understanding. Thoughtful use of color, icons, and text hierarchy helped create a tool that felt both friendly and functional.
The flyer includes:
- Clear definitions of what it means to be a slow learner
- Common traits based on behavioral and psychological studies
- Possible causes, such as emotional stress or slower cognitive processing
- Actionable tips from parents and teachers—focused on encouragement, structure, and patience
By dividing the information into color-coded sections, I made the content easier to scan and absorb. Every design choice supported the flyer’s goal: to inform while inviting empathy.
