A Website Concept That Feels Like a Storybook

The Another Story Website UI/UX design was created under BUILD Interactive for Another Story, a casual fine-dining restaurant located at Evia Mall, Alabang. Known for its cozy interiors and hearty meals, the restaurant inspired a digital experience that felt subtly whimsical—like leafing through the pages of a favorite book.

Scrollable Sections Inspired by Chapters

The site layout aimed to reflect the storytelling nature of the brand. Instead of presenting information in chunks, the design embraced a vertical flow—leading users through each section like chapters in a story.

  • Long-Form Layout: The design used continuous scrolling to connect the restaurant’s story, ambiance, and menu.
  • Collapsing Banner: The hero section appeared on load, then tucked away as visitors scrolled, keeping the focus on content.
  • Menu Integration: Rather than opening in a new page, the menu flowed within the layout. This made browsing feel more seamless.
  • Visual Identity: Fonts, colors, and textures matched the brand’s whimsical and rustic aesthetic.

Long-form layout

The concept of the website is that it will always show the hero banner, but automatically collapse when scrolled; as well as the News section at the footer of the page.

Practical Details, Thoughtfully Placed

While the design leaned into storytelling, it also prioritized usability. Location information, contact details, and store hours were included in an easily accessible footer. The layout was warm and charming, but it didn’t sacrifice function.
