With approaching end of this year’s Steam Summer Sale, I have added a couple more games to my library. Here’s my list of new games from the sale and the reason why I bought them (in order of adding to cart):

Flood of Light (2017)

Flood of Light

Flood of Light is an indie puzzle adventure about a prophesied girl called Guide that according to robot legend will save the citizens from their gloomy fate.

Reason: It has beautiful artwork, it’s short and it’s affordable.

First Impressions: Don’t underestimate this game. The artwork may look cute, but the puzzles in the game are really challenging.

Scribblenauts Unlimited (2013)

Scribblenauts Unlimited

Scribblenauts Unlimited is an interactive, open-world game where you can use your imagination to solve puzzles.

Reason: I wanted to see how my wife would solve the puzzles.

Scythe: Digital Edition (2018)

Scythe: Digital Edition

Scythe: Digital Edition is the digital version of the award-winning game with the same name.

Reason: The tabletop community are loving this game and I wanted to know why.

Juicy Realm (2018)

Juicy Realm (2018)

Juicy Realm is a local co-op, rougelike game in which players must square-off against fruit creatures across the world of the Juicy Realm.

Reason: It’s a couch co-op game that I could play with my wife.

First Impressions: The artwork is impressive, but the game isn’t as difficult as Nuclear Throne. I haven’t reached the final boss yet though.

DEADBOLT (2016)

DEADBOLT (2016)

DEADBOLT is a stealth-action platformer about a reaper who is tasked to put an end to an undead uprising.

Reason: Had this in my wishlist for a while and it is affordable.

First Impressions: Levels are challenging.

Age of Empires II HD Bundle (2013-2016)

Age of Empires II HD Bundle (2013-2016)

This bundle includes Age of Empires II, as well as all the expansions of the game.

Reason: I loved the AOE games as a kid and my cousin currently has it. So I bought it in hopes of being able to play it online with him.

Cosmic Express (2017)

Cosmic Express (2017)

Cosmic Express is a puzzle game about planning the train route for the world’s most awkward space colony. It’s cute, harder than it looks, and guaranteed to give you hours of frustrating fun across hundreds of levels.

Reason: It’s cute and hopefully challenging.

First Impressions: Puzzles do not disappoint. It may look cute and easy, but it’s not.

Which of these games would you like to see me play?
